BE THE BOSS OF YOUR BODY AND OF YOUR BAG

You have all the tools and equipment you need to get your bag ready for action. We have concocted 5 tips which will keep you in line and will save time when #prepping & #packing.

Preparation is key

This is especially true when you want to stay organised and focussed on your health and fitness goals. Stick to these 5 meal prep tips and you will #BossIt is no time

NUMBER ONE – PENCIL IN MEAL PREP

If you have a busy schedule every week but still want to make time to stick to your diet, then make space for it. Allocate specific days & times that you are going to focus on YOU and YOUR meal prepping. It is so important that you don’t skip important steps when preparing your food.

On a Sunday afternoon instead of veg-ing out in front of the TV, get yourself to the kitchen and veg out in there! Choices are key, it’s time to be conscious about your time. Guaranteed, you will have enough time to prepare your meals for the next three days. All you have to do now is allocate time on a Wednesday evening to do the same for the rest of the week. SIMPLE.

NUMBER TWO – FAIL TO PREPARE THEN PREPARE TO FAIL

It doesn’t have to be strict, but at least try and plan what you are going to be eating for the upcoming week. If you had broccoli, chicken and rice last week then try something different! Push the boat out and try one of our amazing recipes which you can prepare well in advance such as the Fragrant Spiced Chicken or our staple Thai Burgers! It doesn’t have to be boring.

Planning your meals not only keeps costs down, but it also helps you to keep on top of your fitness goals. Even write down the snacks you are going to have everyday – this will help you to swerve the unhealthy grab’n’go snacks in your local shop.

REMEMBER: curries, sauces and casseroles are very freezer-friendly! So if you are on a roll in the kitchen then keep producing meals such as these! Put them in the freezer when you are done so that on a particularly busy week you don’t even have to think about prepping! Use our handy Food Containers to help store your food. They are airtight, compact, sturdy and reliable. They are also fridge & freezer friendly and won’t go brittle.

NUMBER THREE – QUALITY BEATS QUANTITY IN THE TUPPERWARE GAME

As previously mentioned, our Prepped & Packed food containers are the perfect companion in the kitchen, in your bags and when you’re on the go. Never mind all of that old brittle and broken food containers that you have accumulated over the years with missing lids – you can get your hands on 9 QUALITY food containers for under £15 here!! NUMBER FOUR – START USING WEIGHTS..

…And I’m not talking about in the gym! Get your kitchen scales out and weigh your food properly! This is where most diets fail. If you don’t stick to the correct measurements then your carb, protein, calorie and fat intake will dip and fluctuate frequently. If you know you have measured the portions properly then you know exactly what is going in.

Guessing ‘near enough’ measurements is a slippery slope when you are trying to hit targets, whether you are shredding or bulking. It is highly likely that you will end up eating more or less than your body needs which will hinder your overall progress.

NUMBER FIVE – A FULL FRIDGE IS A HEALTHY FRIDGE

Keep the stock levels in your cupboards and your fridge full. Do one or two big shops a week – this will stop you buying bits and bobs that you don’t actually need as you will be buying and spending the same each week by limiting your trips to the shop.

This goes back to tip number two – plan your meals. Write a shopping list, get the food in that you need and stock up! Simple. Have the right foods in and keep the wrong foods out, you are much less likely to diverge from your diet if you already have what you need in the cupboards.

P.S Don’t forget to #preppedandpacked in all of your meal prep creations…
